The Petromax Atago is a very practical appliance that can be used as a barbecue, oven, stove or brazier. The Atago runs on charcoal or firewood. Versatile, it combines several cooking modes to satisfy all your culinary desires.

Ready to use in a single gesture

Thanks to its unique mechanism, the Petromax Atago is ready to use in a single gesture. It unfolds and folds up just as quickly. With a height of just 15 cm when folded, it stores neatly and takes up little space.

Efficient heating with the "chimney effect".

The Atago's sophisticated construction makes optimum use of the chimney effect. Thanks to the continuously adjustable air supply, the temperature can be adjusted as required. The maximum opening guarantees exceptionally rapid temperature rise. In addition, round openings in the material ensure optimum ventilation.

Unique two-cylinder construction

Thanks to its double-walled construction, the Petromax Atago is not only an eye-catcher, but also retains heat inside so effectively that the outer cylinder hardly warms up at all, even with prolonged use.

Numerous possibilities

Charcoal, charcoal briquettes and firewood can be used to light the fire. The Atago offers the following three operating modes:

...as a barbecue

The Petromax Atago can be used in the classic way as a barbecue, fuelled by charcoal or briquettes. A suitable barbecue grill is included in delivery.

...as an oven or stove

The Petromax Atago can also be used as a Dutch Oven stove. Simply place the cast-iron pot (e.g. Petromax ft3, ft6 or ft9) on the glowing briquettes in the Petromax Atago. The Atago envelops the cooker and, in combination with the cast-iron pot, ensures optimum heat output. The Atago can be extended to become a convection oven: with the optional convection dome, you can prepare pizzas.

...as a brazier
After using the Petromax Atago to prepare a meal, you can light a cosy campfire directly in the Atago to extend the evening.Thanks to its round shape, firewood and twigs are particularly easy to arrange, for example as a pyramid.
