OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS :
- Pressing the knob closes or opens the door.
- The turning knob locks automatically as soon as the deadbolt is completely unscrewed or screwed in.



INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS :
- Remove the door handle and unscrew the screws using a Torx® TX 30 wrench.
- Position the HEOSafe® lock between the armrest and the door.
- Reattach the lock with the available screw (Torx® TX 30 wrench).

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION TIP:
After fitting, close the door slowly and ensure that the lock passes the rubber seal without any problems.
If the distance is very narrow, or even if the rubber gasket is facing inwards, the gasket may be damaged so that it can be wedged between the lock and the door frame (column B of the body). In this case, take the following steps:
- Check that the rubber gasket is correctly positioned.
- When the gasket is in place, remove it and, using pliers, bend the metal flange at the top of the lock outwards. The rubber seal moves inwards. The seal is protected against damage.
- When the distance between the latch and column B is too great, or if you can't close the latch, adjust the door or have it adjusted by a tradeswoman/man.

ATTENTION :
An additional rubber gasket is included in the scope of delivery.
For the driver's cab of the Fiat Ducato 244, built from 2005 onwards, there may well be a double rubber seal. In this case, continue with the assembly of the additional parts.
- Before fitting the HEOSafe® lock, cut the gasket to the height of the lock, up to the profile on which the gasket is mounted (fig. 1).
- Press the plugs above and below into the cut-out (fig. 2/3).
- Glue the rubber gasket to the profile.
Glue is not included. We recommend using a universal glue or one specially formulated for rubber.
